This fund is designed to assist students facing unexpected financial difficulties. If you’ve accessed all your statutory funding and are still struggling, you may be eligible for a non-repayable grant to help with essential living costs.

Community Cupboard Initiative
Based at the Dylan Thomas Centre, this initiative provides free groceries and everyday essentials to students and local families in need. It’s part of our commitment to sustainability and community wellbeing.

Money Advice and Budgeting Support
Our dedicated Money Support team offers one-to-one advice on budgeting, managing your finances, and accessing available funding – so you can focus on your studies without added stress.

Student Finance Application Tips

Apply ASAP - The sooner you apply, the sooner you’ll receive your funding. Processing times can vary, especially during peak Clearing weeks – don’t wait.

Double-Check Your Course Details - If you’ve changed university or course, make sure your student finance application reflects this. Outdated details can delay your payments.

Sign Your Declaration - After applying, you must sign and return your declaration online. Without this step, your loan won’t be paid out – even if everything else is in place.
