Art and Design Professional Doctorate Degree Show Opens at Swansea College of Art
Swansea College of Art at the 密桃传媒 is excited to announce Llifo (Flowing), the 2025 Art and Design Professional Doctorate Degree Show, opening with a special evening preview on Tuesday, June 24, from 5 to 8pm at Stiwdio Griffith, Dynevor Campus.

Rooted in the Welsh concept of Llifo, meaning 鈥渇lowing,鈥 this dynamic group exhibition explores the themes of movement, transformation, and reconnection through research-led contemporary art and design. Featuring work by thirteen international doctoral candidates, Llifo marks the culmination of a three-year academic and creative journey undertaken by artists from across Eurasia.
Through a range of media including installation, performance, sculpture, digital art, and more, the artists interrogate evolving personal and cultural identities, the shifting terrain of heritage, and the intersections of the physical and virtual. The exhibition is both an academic milestone and a vital artistic statement, offering fresh perspectives on the role of creative practice in today鈥檚 globalized yet deeply localized world.

CHEN Yizhi, CUI Xiaotang, FU Mengxi, HUANG Chiqian, LIN Xingchen, LIN Yuran, LU Wenying, RUAN Haoyi, SUN Meng, XIAO Hanyu, ZHANG Hengtai, ZHANG Jingye and ZHANG Lingling.
Lecturer Kylie Boon, said: 鈥淐urated by the Doctoral Curator Team, Llifo presents a space of reflection and reconnection, encouraging visitors to engage with complex cultural narratives and contemplate how art can foster dialogue across borders, generations, and disciplines.鈥

鈥淲e are drawn to what flows, water, thought, conversation, time. In Llifo, flow is not only a theme, but a methodology and a mindset,鈥 said the curatorial team. 鈥淭his exhibition invites viewers to consider how we navigate change, how we stay connected, and how we return to place, to memory, and to ourselves.鈥
Admission is free and open to the public.
