UWTSD coat of arms.

The new partnership will bring together expertise in fields such as curriculum design and additional learning needs.

Engaging with local authorities and other stakeholders, the two universities plan to deliver bilingual evidence-based professional learning opportunities for the existing education workforce from this autumn.

Dr Jeremy Smith, Dean of the Institute of Education and Humanities from University of Wales Trinity St David said:

鈥淲e are delighted to announce this new collaborative partnership in Education. This is an area where we already have an enormous amount of complementary expertise. We, and other universities in Wales, have been working ever more closely together over recent years, particularly in Education, due in large part to the Welsh Government support for joint research initiatives in this field. We now want to extend that partnership approach and look forward to engaging with others including local authorities over coming months as we plan the detail of our work together.鈥

Dr Patrick Finney, Acting Pro Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at Aberystwyth University said:

鈥淲e’re looking forward to working with colleagues at 密桃传媒 to deliver on this agenda, for the benefit of our educational workforce.  Through our new collaborative partnership, we will be able to deliver innovative professional learning opportunities for those working in schools across Wales, promoting the continuous development of a skilled school workforce which is capable of adapting to the changing demands of modern education.鈥
