Katrina Seaton, a graduate of a Film, Media and Animation programme at UWTSD has taken her first steps into the film industry adding two major screen credits to her name - Netflix’s latest releases, Havoc, and independent Welsh horror feature, The Mill Killers.

ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ (UWTSD) is proud to have welcomed back BA Business Management graduate Beth Thomas as part of the Careers Service’s Employer Talk series this May. A graduate of our Swansea campus, Beth has gone on to build a successful career in digital marketing and social media, working with major brands including Deliveroo, Birchbox and TikTok.

Tyra Oseng-Rees recently returned to UWTSD for an engaging guest lecture with students from our Civil Engineering & Architecture and Environment, Energy and Sustainability programmes. A pioneer in upcycling glass waste into architectural marvels, Tyra shared her inspiring entrepreneurial journey and passion for sustainable design, inspiring the next generation of professionals to embrace sustainability in their work.

Firmly rooted in the locality of this year’s Eisteddfod, as they live and have been educated in the area, Tomos and Owain Sparnon feel very grateful for the opportunities they had through the Urdd and The ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½'s Swansea College of Art.. Both are currently using those experiences to contribute back to the creative community that nurtured them. From adjudicating and curating to raising money and supporting young artists, they are actively contributing to a festival which has been a milestone in their personal and professional development.

After teaching in a Welsh-medium primary school for three years following the completion of her undergraduate degree at ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½, Megan Lewis decided it was time to build on her experience and take the next step in her professional journey. Through the MA Education (Wales) programme, she’s been able to grow her knowledge, connect with practitioners across the country, and apply her learning directly to the classroom - all while studying through the medium of Welsh.

This event brings together leading voices from the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries to explore the future of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its role in sustainable design.
