A BA Adventure Filmmaking student from the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ (UWTSD) has collaborated with Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team to showcase their work.

The ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ (UWTSD) welcomed over 50 students from MADE Cymru to the IQ building in Swansea. The students were invited to meet their classmates in person, as both Industry 4.0 and Innovation classes are held online. This was an excellent opportunity for the students to network with peers and explore the University’s manufacturing facilities. Some of the students had travelled from across Wales, including as far as Conwy.

Students from the UWTSD Wales Academy of Voice and Dramatic Arts are looking forward to performing two musicals in Cardiff at the end of the month.

The ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ (UWTSD) invited speakers from the Aviation Engineering industry to attend an event at our IQ building in Swansea for current students and pupils from Cefn Saeson Comprehensive in Neath.

ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ing for a Doctorate in Professional Practice at the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s (UWTSD) Wales Academy for Professional Practice and Applied Research (WAPPAR) has helped Tendai Nzirawa lead and inspire others.

Wales Literature Exchange and Literature Across Frontiers curated a busy programme for the London Book Fair 2023, which took place on April 18–20. It aimed to connect literary Wales internationally and promote the best of its literature and was packed with meetings and events featuring award-winning Welsh and international writers.

In recent years being a business owner has been tough. Since the pandemic hit small business owners have faced financial problems, recruitment challenges and as the cost-of-living crisis has hit many are now seeing a decline in customer spend. Female owned businesses are not immune to these difficulties and for those in rural areas of Wales, they also suffer from loneliness too.

An Engineering Alumni Conference and Reunion will take place at the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s (UWTSD) Swansea campus on February 10 to inspire and engage students by hearing first hand from UWTSD graduates about the opportunities within the industry.

Elin Gruffydd, a graduate of the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s Wales Academy of Voice and Dramatic Arts will star in the theatre adaptation of the novel by Alys Conran and will tour a number of theatres in Wales.
