The Wales Academy for Health and Physical Literacy at the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ has launched a newsletter that will support physical development in early childhood.

Staff and students from the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ (UWTSD) have been collaborating with one of the world’s most advance providers of specialist simulators and leading provider of integrated digital twin, data visualization and analysis tools Augment City in Oslo. The aim is to support cities, nationally and internationally, on their net zero carbon journey.

Dr Nichola Welton, the Academic Director for Childhood Youth and Education at UWTSD, has championed and supported the involvement of Carmarthen Youth Project-DrMz with the Waves of Change project, led by Professor Daniela Schmidt and Dr Camilla Morelli of Bristol University and the animator Sophie Marsh.

Fine Art students from the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s Swansea College of Art have visited Madrid to study the unique collections of the Prado Museum, The Thyssen Bornemisza Collection, and the Reina Sofia.

Graduates from the BA Set Design and Production course 2023 cohort from the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ have been employed by the Torch Theatre at Milford Haven for their upcoming season.

Congratulations to Caryl Jones, Manager of Yr Atom in Carmarthen, who has been successfully accepted as one of the 2023 cohort of the Future Leaders Academy.

Dan Priddy, a Finance and Business Performance Manager at the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ (UWTSD) has been named as a finalist in the 2023 Green Gown Awards UK and Ireland. Dan has been shortlisted in recognition of his work on several decarbonisation projects across the University’s estate.

Hannah Davies, a recent Alumnus of the Art and Design Foundation course at ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s (UWTSD) Swansea College of Art has had her photography work selected as part of a worldwide exhibition in India.
