The Swansea School of Architecture at the 密桃传媒 (UWTSD) recently held its much-anticipated End of Year Show, showcasing the outstanding creativity, technical skill, and design thinking of its architecture students. The event drew a strong turnout from local practices, professionals, alumni, and members of the public, all of whom were impressed by the quality and depth of work on display.

Guests praised the exhibition for its variety and clarity, highlighting the importance placed on the design process, with sketchbooks and models celebrated just as much as final presentations. One attendee noted:

 鈥淲e loved seeing the sketchbooks and sketch models 鈥 the working out is as important as the final piece!鈥 

Industry professionals also took the opportunity to engage with students and staff. 鈥淕reat to see practices represented and catch up with fellow professionals,鈥 remarked one guest, while Wezley Morgan added, 鈥淟ooking forward to visiting again to help support architecture students from a technical perspective and sponsoring an End of Year Show Student Award!鈥

Among the student highlights was Jimmy Cho, whose contributions were recognised with the Best Technical Drawing Award. Jimmy, who has been working with George & Co during his Part 1 studies, was applauded by Steven George for his commitment and success. He said:

 鈥淕reat to see him win the award… We wish him good luck on his new chapter in London.鈥

This year鈥檚 show also marks an exciting milestone for the school, with the announcement of a new Masters-level qualification launching in September 2025. This development means students will now be able to continue their architectural education in Swansea 鈥 welcomed news for local firms like Starki AEC, who are proud to support homegrown talent.

鈥淲ith the continued expansion of our courses and a vibrant student community, the Swansea School of Architecture is fast becoming a centre of architectural excellence in Wales. The End of Year Show has once again affirmed the school鈥檚 commitment to design, innovation, and technical rigour 鈥 and the future looks brighter than ever!鈥
