Loop to Launch

The Creative Music Technology team is excited to celebrate the Class of 2024 and their final Degree Show, Loop to Launch.

This year’s work spans everything from immersive installations to tightly produced tracks, reflecting a generation of artists who aren’t afraid to experiment, challenge expectations, and push sound in new directions.

We’ve seen their ideas evolve into ambitious projects, their technical skills grow sharper, and their creative voices come into their own. Highlights include a full-length album release, immersive sound experiences, and a curated listening post showcasing the range and originality of their work.

Loop to Launch is more than a final showcase, it’s a springboard into the next chapter. Whether heading into the industry, further study, or forging new paths entirely, these artists are ready.

Massive congratulations to the Class of 2024, we can’t wait to hear what’s next.

Our Work

Joel Awad

I am a confident and dedicated sound technician and musician who strives for the best results. Through my life I have been invited to tech and perform for many shows and concerts, proving my love for working alongside others, and for delivering what is expected of me. Throughout my time studying music technology at UWTSD, I have been able to refine my skills in sound engineering, mixing and mastering, music composition, and videography. My opportunities have been extensive, ranging from ‘teching’ in Swansea Arena, to creating whole sound worlds for visual media; My strongest projects being developing music and sound design for digital contentusing techniques such as Foley, Booming, and audio-visual editing.

Mike Clinton

My name is Michael Clinton, I’m a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with over a decade of experience in writing and recording music. I’ve been a musician for as long as I can remember, it’s all I’ve ever wanted to do, and I’ve spent most of my life studying and developing my craft; from high school music courses, a Diploma in Music Performance, all the way to my current university degree in Creative Music Technology. My approach to composition is rooted in storytelling. Whether I’m working with a band, scoring a film, or producing a standalone piece, I always aim to create music that moves people, feels honest, powerful, and emotionally driven.

Brook Fox

Brook Fox is a rising singer-songwriter and BBC Radio Wales A-Lister, hailing from the coastal town of Burry Port in Southwest Wales. While now known for his raw, authentic lyricism and storytelling, Brook’s journey into music was far from conventional. Originally destined for a career in professional sport, he was a promising young rugby talent progressing through the local academy ranks. However, a life-altering head injury forced him to re-evaluate his path and ultimately led him to music.

With new material in the works and a packed gig calendar ahead, 2025 is shaping up to be his most defining year yet. His fourth single, “Wonderfulâ€, is out now on all streaming platforms.

Matt Williams

I grew up surrounded by music, I have vivid memories of my dad playing artists like The Eagles, The Black Keys and Bob Marley whilst driving back from beaches on holidays. I got my first guitar at 6 and had lessons every week for 10 years after that. I recorded my first song when I was 11 with my dad on Reaper, with acoustic guitar and vocals (which I never want to listen to again!). When I started university, I was shown different aspects to working with audio that I’d never thought of before. We made tracks for library music, created music for film and tv and sound design for video games, using foley to redo the audio from video clips. Location recording and of course studio engineering.

Grace Wolfe

Grace Wolfe is a Producer and Selectress currently based in South Wales. Grace’s relationship with music has been lifelong, with her parents being firmly rooted in the late 90s rave scene in and around London. She recently completed her degree in Creative Music Technology at UWTSD - presenting ‘MODERN RAVE CULTURE - An Immersive Experience’ as her final portfolio. This involved co-producing the forthcoming debut EP on The Wob Mob, then singlehandedly mixing it to 4.1 surround and presenting it as a 20 minute exhibition in tandem with hand curated and arranged rave footage, posters, and photography. She loves long blends, chopping pitched up vocals, and bouncing between a gritty amen break and clinical ghettotech drum patterns. You can often find her floating at 160 BPM, combining jungle techno rhythms and acid infused basslines with her extensive footwork collection.
