Project outline

Kaydiar Ltd, a Swansea-based innovator in pressure offloading NuroKor BioElectronics, a leader in electroceutical technology, partnered with ATiC and Hywel Dda University Health Board’s TriTech Institute to evaluate the real-world impact of its wearable bioelectronic device—the mediliev RX Ultra—for managing chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) pain, particularly in patients with orthopaedic knee conditions.

The project assessed the device’s effectiveness in reducing pain, improving mobility, and supporting mental wellbeing. It also explored the potential health economic benefits of enabling patients to self-manage chronic pain using non-invasive, wearable technology.

ATiC focused on understanding the lived experiences of patients and evaluating the usability of the device to inform future product development.

´¡°Õ¾±°ä’s&²Ô²ú²õ±è;±ð³æ±è±ð°ù³Ù¾±²õ±ð:

  • Conducted in-depth research to define the needs and experiences of patients living with chronic MSK pain.
  • Evaluated the user experience (UX) and usability of the mediliev RX Ultra Wearable Therapy System to support NuroKor’s ongoing innovation in electrotherapy.

Impact:

This collaboration provided valuable insights into how wearable bioelectronic devices can empower patients, improve quality of life, and reduce pressure on healthcare services.
