This builds on the University’s continued success and reflects the strength of the learning experience, personal support, and community at UWTSD. The analysis, published by The Times on 11 July 2025, draws on responses from over 357,000 final-year undergraduates across the UK and uses a consistent ‘overall positivity’ score to compare institutions.

Professor Elwen Evans, KC, Vice-Chancellor of UWTSD, said:

“These excellent NSS results reflect our unwavering commitment to putting students first. They highlight the outstanding support and care we provide throughout the student journey. I am incredibly proud of our whole university community and all that it does to make UWTSD such a welcoming, supportive, and special place to study.â€

The Times has analysed how each institution performed across its seven measures: teaching, learning opportunities, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources and student voice. Their analysis placed UWTSD second in the UK ahead of all other Welsh universities.

The NSS is managed annually by the Office for Students and is one of the largest student feedback surveys globally. The results help institutions enhance teaching quality and the wider student experience.

UWTSD’s consistently high performance in recent years is testament to the University’s focus on partnership with students, personalised learning, and a strong culture of care and support.
