Apprenticeship in Construction Management (HND - Higher National Diploma)
This Construction Management Apprenticeship program is delivered in partnership with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), Construction Wales Innovation Centre (CWIC), and accredited by the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE). The course is designed to address the current skills needs of the construction industry, training apprentices who will be equipped to lead innovative projects that benefit communities for years to come.
The construction sector offers rewarding career opportunities both in the UK and internationally, ranging from housing development to large-scale infrastructure and capital projects. These projects are carried out with a strong focus on sustainability, community engagement, and environmental responsibility.
However, the industry is also facing numerous challenges, including globalisation, climate change, and a complex regulatory environment. This course provides the tools and knowledge to navigate these challenges. You will gain insights into the legal, technical, managerial, economic, social, and environmental aspects of construction, enabling you to manage projects that are efficient, high-quality, and risk-free.
This program blends theoretical knowledge with practical skills, delivered by industry experts. Core modules in Construction Management will foster creative problem-solving and teamwork, while also covering areas such as construction technology, project planning and management, sustainable construction practices, health and safety, and digital competencies.
By the end of the course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of project design, methodology, and implementation, from inception to client handover. Through case studies from the UK and around the world, you will gain practical experience and develop the professional skills needed to succeed in the construction industry. Upon completion, you will be prepared to confidently take on the challenges of modern construction projects.
