Megan Worrell from Carmarthen has graduated with a First-Class honours Degree in BSc Professional Policing and will start a new role as a police constable with Avon and Somerset Police next month.

The ���Ҵ�ý’s (UWTSD) class of 2024 graduation ceremonies will continue at Swansea’s Arena today.

Director Susan Seidelman will join students, filmmakers, and fans at the ���Ҵ�ý (UWTSD)’s upcoming academic conference celebrating Desperately Seeking Susan and female friendship on screen. Taking place on April 10th and 11th, 2025, at the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea, the event marks the iconic film’s 40th anniversary.

Canolfan S4C Yr Egin, a dynamic business and creative hub based on the ���Ҵ�ý campus in Carmarthen, is excited to announce that Mentera, a forward-thinking not-for-profit organization that has supported businesses in Wales for over 35 years, is joining its community of innovative companies. Chloe Griffiths, a recent graduate of the ���Ҵ�ý (UWTSD), has successfully transitioned from a career in accounting to a thriving role in the events industry. Chloe, who has just completed her degree in Events and International Festivals Management, reflects on her journey and the transformative experience that led her to a permanent position as Production Coordinator with Limitless, an annual vibrant summer gathering for young people that's all about community, connection and change.

Matt Satterthwaite is a Lead Technologist at a large defence company. The 32-year-old has just completed an Ordnance Munitions and Explosives BEng at UWTSD, receiving first class honours.

Shaun Malone, a 26-year-old from Kent, has successfully completed his Level 4 Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Ordnance, Munitions, and Explosives at the ���Ҵ�ý (UWTSD), marking a significant milestone in his academic and professional journey.

Mariya Todorova’s path to success is a testament to determination and the power of pursuing your passions, no matter the obstacles. Born in Bulgaria and raised in Italy, Mariya initially trained as a chef, working in the hospitality industry for 14 years.

Tomos Lewis from Clydach decided to study the Education Studies: Primary course in the ���Ҵ�ý because he longed to work with children and young people, and believed that the primary years phase within children’s education is essential to forming their future.

Birmingham-born Safiyyah Altaf’s path to UWTSD began with a family move to Wales, where she attended Neath Port Talbot College to study Textiles. Her learning journey has continued and today, the 23-year-old is graduating with a BA in Surface Pattern Design and Textiles from UWTSD’s Swansea College of Art.
