A new strategic partnership has been created between The ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s Academy of Sport, Llandovery College and Llandovery RFC to provide a pathway for students to combine their academic and rugby aspirations through Further, Higher Education and semi-professional rugby.

The ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ (UWTSD)’s Swansea College of Art is one of six universities across the UK hosting the prestigious Freelands Studio Fellowship.

A new book by UWTSD Associate Professor Julia Lockheart is being launched at a sell-out event today. Dr Julia Lockheart, from Swansea College of Art has teamed up with Professor Blagrove, director of Swansea University Sleep Laboratory, to co-author The Science of Art and Dreaming following the success of their science art collaboration DreamsID.com (Dreams Illustrated and Discussed).

Earlier this month, UNESCO-BRIDGES UK hub Director, Dr Luci Attala, attended the 16th Ordinary Session of the UNESCO – MOST Intergovernmental Council in Paris with the Executive Director of BRIDGES, Prof Steven Hartman.

An MA Ancient Religions student from the ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ has won The British Institute at Ankara’s Inaugural Masters Dissertation Prize.

Fine Art Lecturer, Alex Duncan, has created images of Swansea’s Sea Wall for exhibition at the Pontio Centre in Bangor.

The work is part of a Sea Exhibition which features the work of artists, poets and filmmakers and runs until 7 July.

The ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ (UWTSD) recently hosted an engaging outreach event at the IQ building on the Waterfront campus in Swansea. The event welcomed a group of 30 enthusiastic Year 12 students from Neath Port Talbot College, aiming to inspire and educate them on crucial topics within Energy and Environmental Engineering.

Representatives from academia and policing across Wales gathered on 19 June at the All-Wales Policing Academic Collaboration (AWPAC) Research Symposium to discuss the collaborative research conducted through AWPAC.
