A graduate of ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s (UWTSD) BA Product & Furniture Design course has embarked on an exciting career as a Furniture Conservator with the Royal Household.

With global data showing over 70% of children with developmental delays in their motor skills and data here in Wales finding 88% of 3-year-olds with poor motor skills, many children now enter school lacking essential physical competencies, impacting not only their physical health but also their social and academic skills.

First-year film students at ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½ (UWTSD) recently completed an assignment that gave them hands-on experience and saw them collaborate with alumni of film programmes of the past.

Students studying Graphic Design at UWTSD’s Swansea College of Art have been gaining invaluable industry experience through the University’s paid internship scheme. The scheme allows students to gain practical experience and bring fresh and innovative perspectives to the businesses they work with.

The ÃÜÌÒ´«Ã½â€™s (UWTSD) International Institute for Creative Entrepreneurial Development (IICED) has been awarded the top honour in education at the Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship’s (ISBE) international conference, held this year in Sheffield. Recognised for their groundbreaking work in entrepreneurial education, UWTSD-IICED’s team was presented with the award in the historic setting of Sheffield Cathedral, highlighting their contributions to transforming education in Wales and beyond.

Alexandra Büchler, Director of Literature Across Frontiers (LAF) and strategic co-director of Wales Literature Exchange (WLE), recently delivered a speech at a landmark conference held at the European Parliament in Strasbourg from 2-4 October 2024.
