Our Location

Carmarthen offers a rich and vibrant hub of creativity that draws together a unique subject combination of the creative and performance-based arts with hi-tech digital film and media processes, to create a learning community that is dynamic, innovative and exciting. The campus is a creative melting-pot for practitioners and entrepreneurs located within striking and iconic buildings. We are based near stunning coastline, dramatic woodland, and ancient castles. All great spaces to create original work.

A different kind of classroom in a truly immersive campus experience

We subscribe to the idea that everywhere is a classroom within our creative community. The learning opportunities in workshops, lecture theatres, rehearsal studios and locations are where ideas are formed, discussed and acted upon – these are spaces for reflection,

discussion, enquiry and opportunity. Whether you are a filmmaker, photographer, or researcher, you will find yourself working alongside, and with, creative writers, actors, new media producers, set designers, performers, directors, and adventure educators.

Adventure Filmmaking (BA Hons)

The Adventure Filmmaking programme is based in a unique location which benefits from beautiful coastal and mountainous landscapes. Regular expeditions and location workshops enable students to film and photograph nature and adventurous activities with the guidance of experienced practitioners.

Collaboration

We collaborate on a number of events and work placement opportunities with the home of Wales national broadcaster S4C in our Yr Egin centre. Events such as the Adventure Film Festival, graduate showcase, and workshops with major camera brands allow students to connect with industry. There are also media production tenants offering a wealth of industry knowledge and experiences.
