What You Will Learn

Students begin with The Challenge of Sustainability, exploring the importance of sustainability in modern business. This module covers key principles of sustainable development and the role of leadership in fostering change. Through interactive sessions, students critically assess business practices and identify sustainability strategies suited to diverse organisational contexts.

As they progress, students engage with Management Practice: A Critical Perspective, which encourages self-reflection on management styles and decision-making processes. Emphasising the skills necessary to implement sustainability initiatives within an organisation, this module offers insights into ethical leadership and ways to inspire sustainable practices.

In Embedding Sustainability within Organisations, students explore strategies to weave sustainable thinking into the values and operations of a business. Using case studies and real-world scenarios, this module introduces practical tools for driving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives that align with long-term goals and support global sustainability.

The programme culminates with Leading Sustainability Change, where students refine their leadership approaches to support ongoing transformation in business. This module prepares them to be advocates for sustainability, equipping them with the knowledge to guide their organisations through the challenges and opportunities in today’s evolving sustainability landscape.
