As part of the Swansea Bay City Deal-funded “Not Business As Usual” initiative, Gower College Swansea students were introduced to the future of sustainable construction in an engaging, hands-on learning experience at the University’s SA1 Waterfront campus. The event immersed students in practical exercises with eco-friendly materials, like locally sourced timber and sustainable insulation, illustrating how these resources can lead the way in creating a net-zero construction industry.

Brandon Roberts, a Sustainable Conservationist from the ���Ҵ�ý (UWTSD) will address the BIM in Leicester 2025 International Conference on February 5. This event brings together leading voices from the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries to explore the future of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its role in sustainable design.

The ���Ҵ�ý (UWTSD) Construction Wales Innovation Centre (CWIC) is pleased to announce a new practical training programme to support the much-needed technical knowledge and expert skills for installing, advising and troubleshooting both existing and new retrofit projects.

On World Teacher’s Day, ���Ҵ�ý (UWTSD) are celebrating one a graduates and current student, Maria D’Angelo, an inspiring educator and entrepreneur who is redefining learning through her outdoor initiative, Ffrindiau’r Goedwig – Friends of the Forest.

We’ve loved hosting The Girls on Track programme, a joint initiative between the FIA and Motorsport UK, welcoming pupils from schools across the city to our state-of-the-art facilities at our IQ Building in Swansea, which is home to our Motorsport, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering programmes.

Staff from the ���Ҵ�ý’s Carmarthen Business School are collaborating on a project to strengthen business sustainability and resilience in rural Carmarthenshire by fostering circular economy practices.

UWTSD first-year Architecture students have won first prize in an international design competition set by the StuCAN Architects Climate Action Network 2025.
